Our Facility for CNC Engineering
The present facility occupies an area in excess of 70,000 sq. ft. with a maximum lifting capacity of 20 tonnes. To service our CNC engineering, CTL has a computerised production control system and is at present using Pathtrace Edge Cam to programme its CNC Machine tools.
CTL Engineering has a wide customer base working in a diverse range of products ranging from small scientific instruments to large flow control valves for the oil industry.
To compliment our in house CNC engineering we have associations with many specialist companies covering the supply of Radiography, Ultrasonic testing on site, raw materials, heat treatments, weld overlay, and all manner of specialist surface coatings, etc.
The wide range of both conventional and CNC Machine tools enables the company to offer “one-off” prototype machining, through medium to large batch work, whilst maintaining the highest possible standards of workmanship and customer integrity.
Programming Engineering
CTL are commited to being at the forefront of programming engineering. All our CNC part programs are produced using the latest computers running PATHTRACE EDGECAM software. This gives us the facility to obtain a large scale representation of a work piece and cutting parameters, and to quickly re-process a program for use on an alternative machine. We also have the facility to accept IGES/DXF data files through our high bandwidth Broadband connection, which have been produced by our customers computer systems. The system has recently been enhanced by the addition of full 3D modelling software which will interface with the updated software on our CMM’s to give us a "reverse engineering capability".

Production Control - Purchasing - Planning - Quotations
Quotations, Production Control, Purchasing, Resource Load Scheduling, Stock Control & Material functions are computerised using EFACS/E8 software e-commerce & web enabled. This enables us to control our capacity planning and monitor customer requirements. Bar charts for individual jobs or a contract can be issued at order placement and are used by our Customers for ongoing audit & progress purposes. Weekly status reporting is a standard feature of our service to give up to the minute progress on all orders - in writing. Our production control & expediting departments assure customers of accurate information and on time deliveries. In addition to the above we offer a complete procurement facility and have numerous high quality suppliers of the following services:
